Dr. Yvette Ledford is currently the Director of Academic Support and Pre-K Project Director for Bulloch County Schools. She is extremely passionate about literacy and finding innovative ways to provide equity and access for all students. 

Dr. Ledford is the brainchild of a project entitled Get on the Bus which involves converting a school bus into a bookmobile and utilizing stakeholder support to bring literacy events throughout the community. In less than a year, her project has earned over $30,000 in resources and monetary support.   

Dr. Ledford holds a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and a master's degree in Reading Education. She also holds a doctorate in Curriculum Studies with an emphasis in Multicultural Education all which were earned from Georgia Southern University.

Dr. Ledford is a member of the Jaycees, Lynda Brannen Williamson Leadership Academy, and the Professional Women of Statesboro.  She enjoys traveling, meeting new people, and writing children's books.
