Gary Brantley is currently the Chief Information Officer of DeKalb County School District in Atlanta GA. DeKalb County School District has over 100,000 students and is the 26th largest school district in the U.S. Mr. Brantley began his career about 16 years ago in Information Technology after graduating from Youngstown State University and earning his Master’s Degree from the University of Phoenix and also just recently completed the CIO leadership institute with MIT Sloan School of Management. Brantley began his career with IBM as a Network Administrator before moving on to MCIWorldCom as a Network Engineer.  At MCIWorldCom his focus was mainly on call center network configuration and builds. He continued to have an impact on technology and took that expertise to the Ohio Department of Aging as the Director of Information Technology.  He worked there for several years before finally landing in Lorain, Ohio as the Chief Information Officer for Lorain City Schools.

Mr. Brantley has been involved in numerous IT Projects from Network Design and configuration to complex Cisco Engineering and Website design.  He has worked for multiple companies, including Churches, Banking Institutions, School Districts, Entertainment personalities, and many more.

Mr. Brantley has served on several technology committees throughout the state of Ohio. He continues to take an active role in his community as it relates to technology.
