Dr. Carletta Marrow is a prominent educator, coach, advocate, mentor and rising star in the Prince George’s County Public School (PGCPS) system. She has taught thousands of young people and has empowered many more with her uncompromising vision for academic excellence.

Her leadership in this field has been recognized by many awards, and has made her a much sought after guest speaker at education conferences and trainings, and graduations across the state of Maryland. Today, serving in her 23rd year in the PGCPS system, Dr. Marrow serves as the Associate Superintendent of High Schools and Alternative Schools. 

Dr. Marrow is a product of the District of Columbia Public School System. She earned her Undergraduate Degree from Virginia State University, and her Master’s Degree from American University. Most recently, Dr. Marrow earned her Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership at the Nova University Southeastern University in June 2015. She is the wife of Rickey Marrow, Jr. and has one daughter Ashley Jones-Quaidoo. 

Dr. Marrow has been blessed to serve the needs of students at many schools; including, Annapolis Road Alternative School, Benjamin Stoddert Middle School, Northwestern High School, Gwynn Park High School and Dr. Henry A. Wise, Jr. High School, where she served as teacher, English Department Chairperson, Assistant Principal, Principal and Instructional Director.

Dr. Marrow has received numerous of awards and accolades for her unselfish acts within the educational realm. She has been awarded the 2014 Washington Post Distinguished Educator for Prince George’s County Public Schools. While serving as the principal at Dr. Henry A. Wise, Jr. High School, the school received the Steve Harvey "Best High School Award", and was recognized through his nationally syndicated talk show. She has earned a host of community recognition for her commitment to uplift students to achieve their full potential.

Dr. Marrow’s legacy in Prince George’s County Public Schools has produced POSSE & Gates Millennial Scholars, College graduates, Student Athletes and a host of career professionals.
